Set up your Cardano wallet

Cardano’s Classifieds pays you directly in ADA — Cardano’s cryptocurrency — any time a client tips you or unlocks something you’ve posted. To receive it, you need a Cardano wallet of your own. It’s free, and takes about five minutes on your phone or your computer.

Read this before you install anything

  • Use the links on this page only. Search results for wallet downloads are full of convincing fakes — a fresh search is not safer than the buttons below.
  • You’ll be shown a recovery phrase — 12 or 24 plain words — when you create your wallet. That phrase is your wallet. Anyone who has it can take everything in it, permanently.
  • Cardano’s Classifieds will never ask you for your recovery phrase. No wallet company, exchange, or “support” agent legitimately asks for it either — if anyone does, it’s a scam, full stop.
  • Write the phrase on paper. Never screenshot it, never type it into a website, never paste it anywhere except inside the wallet app itself while restoring a wallet.

How to know you have the real one: the App Store listing is published by Tastenkunst, and the Android package name is io.ccvault.v1.main — a holdover from Eternl’s original name, CCVault. If a page doesn’t match, close it.

  1. 1Install Eternl using a button above for your phone.
  2. 2Open the app and choose to create a new wallet — not “restore,” which is only for a wallet you already have.
  3. 3Write your recovery phrase on paper, in the exact order shown. Never a screenshot.
  4. 4Confirm the phrase when the app asks you to re-enter it.
  5. 5Set a spending password or PIN — you’ll use this to open the app and approve payments.
  6. 6Name your wallet (your Cardano’s Classifieds display name works well). You’re in.

On your computer

  3. 3Follow the same backup steps as the phone: write down your recovery phrase, confirm it, then set a password.
